At AFCE, we’re passionate about helping farmers face the challenges of climate change in coffee production and beyond. Our programmes aim to equip farmers with the knowledge and skills needed to adapt to changing environmental conditions.

We are dedicated to providing practical, field-based training that is tailored to rural settings. Our focus is on demonstrating climate-resilient agricultural techniques that can make a real difference. Some farmers are already embracing smart technologies, such as using organic pesticides and manure, implementing contour farming, mulching, stumping, pruning, desuckering, ensuring proper plant spacing, and managing pest, disease, and soil fertility.

The results are promising! Farmers who have adopted these techniques have reported increased yields and improved the value of their coffee. This not only boosts their income but also enhances their social standing within the community.
